    Must be 17 or older. Students 16 and under must have a parent present.

    SAFTEY INFORMATION
    Wear sturdy cotton clothes only, no synthetics as they can burn.
    Shoes should also be leather (boots) rubber soles fine, just no mesh uppers and hot slag and burn through and cause problems.
    Long hair needs to be tied back.

    SUPPLIES
    Gloves: Leather only!
    Face masks for welding fumes or particulate matter
    Safety glasses

  • Buffalo Rose is a wildly charismatic 6-piece Americana/ bluegrass band that combines acoustic genres to produce fresh material that never loses sight of its roots. They use powerful male and female vocal harmonies, strong string playing, and exhilarating stage presence to go from up and moving to sad and sweet. They are the 2022 Grand Prize Winner of the Folk Alliance’s Overall Acoustic Music Award. Music Editor Henry Carrigan adds “Listening to Buffalo Rose is like driving on the open road with the windows down, letting the breeze wash over you and leaving you breathless.”

  • Rajiv Mohabir Reads From His Poetry

  • Rajiv Mohabir is an Indo-Carribean American author of three acclaimed poetry collections, The Taxidermist's Cut, Cowherd's Son, Cutlish, and Whale Aria; a book of translation, I even Regret Night, and his hybrid memoir, Antiman. He is winner of the 2015 Kundiman Prize, a 2015 PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grant, finalists for the 2017 and 2022 Lambda Literary Awards, finalist for the 2022 PEN Open Book Award, the 2021 National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry, and longlisted for the PEN/Voelcker Award in Poetry.

  • Vocalist Sue Matthews returns for her annual Mainstay performance. Her silky voice, exquisite phrasing, and passion for finding every bit of meaning in a song identify her as a leading interpreter of the Great American Songbook. She has performed in top jazz clubs, concert halls, and festivals across America and internationally. Her November program is titled "The Music of Lena Horne". Sue will be accompanied by familiar favorite Robert Redd who tours as the pianist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra.
