Mission ...

It is the goal of the LMB to serve and strengthen families in our local communities through creative programs and activities developed by and for the residents of Kent County.

Please see below for some exciting upcoming events...

Assuring a better quality of life and future for the families in Kent County goes beyond what any single agency or organization can accomplish on its own. As members of the community, adults, young adults, and children alike, we are all partners in the process.

The Local Management Board for Children’s & Family Services of Kent County (LMB) is here to bring different entities together to meet shared goals and assure a stronger future for our community.  Those entities consist of the Kent County Commissioners, the Department of Social Services, the Department of Juvenile Services, Mid-Shore Mental Health Systems, Kent County Public Schools, Kent County Department of Parks & Recreation, Kent County Department of Planning, Housing and Zoning, Kent County Sheriff’s Office, Kent County Behavioral Health and members of the community who volunteer on our Board in the hopes of making a difference for children and families.

It is the goal of the LMB to serve and strengthen families in our local communities through creative programs and activities developed by and for the residents of Kent County.

**Maryland Community Services Locator (MDCSL)**
The Center for Substance Abuse Research (CESAR) at the University of Maryland, College Park invites law enforcement officials, service providers, community members and others to use the MDCSL to find Maryland resources.

A statewide expansion of the Maryland Community Services Locator is underway. If you are searching for Substance Abuse Treatment Programs, you can perform a more detailed search for specific types of programs by selecting the "Advanced Search" feature. Program listings are verified for accuracy on an ongoing basis. Verified program listings note the month and year when last updated. We recommend that users contact agencies by phone before visiting their location due to frequent changes in program locations and availability.
