Good Neighbor Fund helps residents with one-time emergency financial needs. This can include prescriptions, owed utilities or rent, or a few motel nights. The Department of Social Services does an initial screening and volunteers meet with clients at the First United Methodist Church in Chestertown.

Volunteers meet with clients on Tuesday mornings between July 1st and Labor Day, and then on Tuesdays and Fridays between Labor Day and June 30th. Due to COVID volunteers are only meeting on Tuesdays and will begin two days a week on Labor Day 2021
