REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL # GM 25-01:
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF EMS FACILITY AND STORAGE BUILDING IN KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND
The County Commissioners of Kent County, Maryland, a body corporate and politic and a political subdivision of the State of Maryland (the “County”), is requesting proposals from bidders with qualified staff and experience to design and construct one (1) new free-standing building for use as an Emergency Medical Services Facility, to be located in a vacant portion of County-owned property in Chestertown, MD 21620. The building shall be conventional Slab-On-Grade, Pre-Engineered or Pole Building Construction. Services under the proposal shall also include design of the building by Professional Architects and/or Engineers as well as the preparation of all required Construction Permit Plans. Bid documents are publicly posted and available on both the County’s website (https://www.kentcounty.com/government/rfp) and the eMaryland Marketplace Advantage (eMMA) website (https://emma.maryland.gov/page.aspx/en/rfp/request_browse_public). A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 10:00am on July 10th, 2024 at the Kent County Public Works Conference Room (address below). All questions and inquiries regarding the terms of this RFP, which must be submitted in writing or via email, should be directed to Daniel F. Mattson, P.E., C.F.M., C.M.E., Director of Public Works, at DMattson@KentGov.org, no later than 12:00 p.m. on July 22nd, 2024. A summary of all submitted inquiries and responses will be published in an addendum and distributed within 48 business hours of the above due date. All bids (which shall include all addenda, printed and signed) are due by or before 11:00 a.m. on July 30th, 2024, at which time the bid opening will take place at the Kent County Department of Public Works, 709 Morgnec Rd, Chestertown, MD 21620.
