The WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC.
WIC Participants Learn How to:
- Use foods to improve your family\'s health.
- Get information on healthy lifestyles for pregnant women.
- Feed your baby and breast feed if desired.
- Help your children learn to eat healthy foods.
- Use your WIC checks to buy food at the grocery store.
- Obtain health and social services.
If eligible you will receive nutrition information, referrals to other services, and checks to buy food. Approved foods include:
- Milk
- Infant formula
- 100% Juice
- Peanut Butter
- Cheese
- Eggs
- Dried Beans and peas
- Cereal
